Currumbin Paddlers win club trophy by a country mile in 2017 Vajda Northern Marathon series

The presentation night for the 2017 series was held on Saturday evening of 16 September at Currumbin Creek Tavern.  Fun was had by all and the Mexican food was great. Our format differed slightly from previous years. We started with a trivial pursuit quiz conducted by Cameron Mason and other junior paddlers. Then followed the draw for the paddle provided by Mick Herden of  Australian Paddle HQ. Tony Worrad of Currumbin won.

Presentation of medals and certificates were then given out. A full

wrap up of the series will be presented in a different post. The all-important news that we were all waiting for was that Currumbin Paddlers Club convincingly took out the club score points trophy by a huge margin. Jo Holman accepted the prize on behalf of Currumbin Paddlers.

We all look forward to the 2018 paddling year.
